26-Feb-2010   Syzygy Cares

We’re Green

We support environmental awareness by encouraging recycling and waste management. This support includes a commitment to the purchase, use, and disposal of products and materials in a manner that will best utilize natural resources and minimize any negative impact on the earth's environment. Syzygy reduces and, whenever possible, eliminates the use of disposable products.

Syzygy switched its internal infrastructure to a "thin" client approach in 1999 to reduce energy waste. The organization saves on both day-to-day costs and helps the environment by lowering carbon footprint through newer technology. We've now reduced the environmental impact of our organization and saved approximately $4,800 worth of electricity per year.

Community Service

We actively work within the community to support little leagues and high school sports teams and annually Adopt-a-Family through the Salvation Army. We also actively look for situational charities, such as our company wide aid to Haiti through UNICEF (for which we contribute and raise money). We also volunteer with the National Defense Industry Association and are actively looking to work with schools (both in and out of the STEM program) to train young kids to become future leaders.

The reason we wanted to share this is because we are still open to doing more. From employees to partners, we are always hearing of new opportunities to help the communities around us. Syzygy does care.
