Syzygy Technologies, Inc., San Diego, California, is being awarded a $7,077,042 modification under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00033-12-D-6504) to exercise a one-year option for information technology services related to information assurance, mobile communication assets, shipboard electronic support and communication security support. Work will be performed worldwide, and is expected to be completed by June 2015.

The Syzygy Board of Directors are announcing the appointment of Joe Discar as the CEO and President with an objective for driving the company to the next level, building on the foundation and momentum that was achieved under outgoing President Merv Cutler's leadership.Joe has experience establishing new ventures. As CFO, he had started the original accounting structure, financing and organization for Syzygy. As CAO, he spearheaded the achievement of ISO 9000. As CIO, he continues to run Syzygy's IT infrastructure on a shoe-string budget until such time that Syzygy could recover from the economy's downturn. That time is now. With Joe as CEO, Merv is free to focus on business development. Together, Syzygy Technologies can look forward to seeing a continuation of the excellent service our customers expect from the company, as well as structured growth into other areas of opportunity both within and outside the government contracting space.

Syzygy Technologies, Inc. was awarded a $2.7 million dollar task order to provide engineering support for the test and evaluation of the Global Command and Control System - Maritime. The task award may result in an addition $6.3 million dollars of tasking should the government exercise its option to award follow-on tasking on a non-competitive basis. This win capitulates Syzygy's pre-eminence in the test and evaluation field for U.S. command and control systems.
